01The problem

Give every student an opportunity to understand their profile.

School-based assessment can create structured insights into student aptitudes, interests and other relevant dimensions. These insights can support counselling, career exploration and more informed educational conversations.

School assessment is not screening for problems. It is giving every student, not only the ones who ask, a structured picture of how they think and what they are drawn towards. Administered at the right stage it is quick, it runs in the school's own hall, and it produces something the counsellor, the class teacher and the parent can all work from — instead of three different impressions of the same child.

Discuss this for your school

The evidence behind all of this — who you would speak to, and what we will not claim — sits on the Career Guidance for Schools page, where it belongs to the whole audience rather than to one service.
