The short answer
Not every professional body keeps a register that the public can search. Some do — the Rehabilitation Council of India keeps one, and a registration number printed here can be looked up without asking us for anything. Others do not, and for those a membership is named as a membership and no more is claimed for it. That distinction is drawn on the page rather than smoothed over, because a reader who cannot tell the two apart has been given less than nothing. Anything that lapses comes off rather than being quietly left here.
