Parents influence many student decisions. Structured parent engagement helps create a shared understanding of assessment, career choices, changing opportunities and the student's individual development.
A school can run a careful programme all year and lose it in one conversation at home. Not because parents obstruct, but because nobody told them what the school was doing or why. Engagement sessions bring parents into the same information the students have: what was assessed, what a report says, how choices have changed since they were at school, and what the school is actually asking of them.
