01The problem

Better research begins with better research questions.

Research workshops can strengthen participants' ability to frame questions, design studies, select appropriate methods and interpret evidence. The emphasis is on usable research capability rather than theoretical exposure alone.

Most research training teaches statistics to people whose problem is not statistics. The problem is upstream: a question too vague to answer, a design that cannot support the claim, a measure chosen because it was available. These workshops start there and work forward. Participants bring their own study, and leave with a question that can be answered and a design that would survive a reviewer.

Discuss a Research Workshop

The evidence behind all of this — who you would speak to, and what we will not claim — sits on the Universities page, where it belongs to the whole audience rather than to one service.
