The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, Fourth Edition, India (WAIS-IV India), based on the work of David Wechsler, is adapted and standardised for India and gives a thorough measure of cognitive ability in people aged 16 to 84. It provides subtest and composite scores for particular cognitive areas along with a Full Scale IQ for overall ability, and it replaces the WAIS-III. It is given individually in 60 to 90 minutes, and the kit contains the administration and scoring manual, the technical and interpretive manual, a stimulus book, 25 record forms, 25 response booklets, block design cubes and scoring keys in a bag.
