TTAP: TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile–Second Edition
The TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile–Second Edition (TTAP), which replaces the earlier Adolescent and Adult Psychoeducational Profile (AAPEP), assesses adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum who are preparing for the move from school to adult life. It looks at six functional areas, including vocational skills and behaviour, independent functioning, leisure, communication and interpersonal behaviour, in three settings: direct observation by a trained professional, and interviews with the main caregiver at home and with a teacher or work supervisor. The results feed into educational and transition planning, direct observation takes about 1½ hours and all 3 scales about 3½, and the kit includes the manual and 10 profile/scoring forms.
