The SRT-Trait Scale of Personality in Indianpsychology
The SRT-Trait Scale by Dr. Gitanjali Roy measures personality in terms of the Indian Triguna philosophy of sattva, rajas and tamas. Its 35 items, rated on a five-point scale, cover 11 traits, among them sattvic knowledge, spirituality and habit, rajasic habit and passion, tamasic knowledge and habit, tranquillity, maturity, emotional stability and empathy. Psychologists can use it to draw up clients' personality profiles and in research linking these traits to ideas such as karma yoga; it takes 20 to 30 minutes, is bilingual in Hindi and English, and suits ages 20 to 65. The kit contains a manual and 100 consumable booklets.
