TEXL: Test of Expressive Language Complete Kit
The Test of Expressive Language (TEXL), by Elizabeth Carrow-Woolfolk and Elizabeth A. Allen, measures how well children aged 3 to 12 express themselves in spoken English. It is the speaking counterpart of the TACL-4 and looks at the same areas: vocabulary, grammatical elements such as function words and word endings, and longer phrases and sentences. It takes 20 to 30 minutes individually, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, a picture book, 25 record booklets and the scoring supplement shared with the TACL-4, in a storage box.
