Test of Word Reading Efficiency–Second Edition (TOWRE-2)
The TOWRE-2 measures how accurately and fluently a person aged 6 to 24 can read printed words. Sight Word Efficiency counts the real words read correctly in 45 seconds, and Phonemic Decoding Efficiency counts the pronounceable nonwords decoded in the same time. With four equivalent forms of each subtest, it is well suited to monitoring progress and judging the effect of teaching, and each form takes only 5 to 10 minutes. The kit includes the manual, word cards for Forms A to D, record booklets for Forms A and B, and response-to-intervention booklets.
