The Test of Word Finding, Third Edition (TWF-3), by Diane J. German, assesses how readily children aged 4 to 12 can call up single words they know, to identify word-finding problems, plan intervention and support research. A built-in comprehension check confirms that the child knows the words being tested, and three forms suit preschool and kindergarten, grades 1 and 2, and grades 3 to 6. Its norms were collected from 2009 to 2012, and it takes 20 to 30 minutes individually; the kit contains the examiner's manual, the assessment and comprehension picture books, and 10 record forms for each of the three levels, in a storage box.
