Test of Visual Perceptual Skills–Fourth Edition (TVPS-4)
The TVPS-4 assesses visual analysis and processing, helping occupational therapists, optometrists, learning specialists and school psychologists identify a person's visual-perceptual strengths and weaknesses between the ages of 5 and 21. Seven perceptual areas are tested, with 18 items apiece, using line drawings in black and white bound in an easel booklet, and answers are multiple choice, needing no more than a word or a point. That makes it well suited to people with motor, speech, neurological or cognitive impairments, while ceilings keep younger children from tiring. It takes about 25 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, test plates and 25 record forms.
