Test of Reading Comprehension - Fourth Edition (TORC-4)
The Test of Reading Comprehension–Fourth Edition (TORC-4) measures silent reading comprehension in students aged 7 to 17. It identifies those who score well below their peers and may need help with reading, documents progress in remedial programmes and serves as a research tool. Its five subtests all draw on word identification and understanding of meaning in context, and its norms come from 1,942 students in 14 states. Testing takes about 45 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, 50 record forms, 25 question booklets and 50 answer booklets.
