Test of Nonverbal Intelligence - Fourth Edition (TONI-4)
The Test of Nonverbal Intelligence, Fourth Edition (TONI-4), by Linda Brown, Rita J. Sherbenou and Susan K. Johnsen, measures intelligence in people aged 6 to 89 who respond only through simple gestures like pointing, a nod or a blink. This suits people with language, hearing or motor impairments, and those unfamiliar with mainstream American culture, because all its items are abstract figures without pictures or cultural symbols. It has two equivalent forms of 60 items each, was normed on 2,272 people from 33 US states and takes 15 to 20 minutes. The kit contains the examiner's manual, the picture book, a volume of critical reviews and research findings, and 50 answer booklets with record forms for each form.
