TAWF-2: Test of Adolescent/Adult Word Finding–Second Edition
The Test of Adolescent/Adult Word Finding–Second Edition (TAWF-2), by Diane J. German, is a norm-referenced test of the ability to retrieve single words, for people aged 12 to 80. It identifies word-finding problems, helps plan intervention and serves research, with an 80-item Complete Test and a 28-item Brief Test for when the full test is not practical. A built-in Comprehension Check confirms that the person knows the words they fail to retrieve, and new norms, gathered between 2009 and 2013, include people with diagnosed word-finding difficulties. It takes 20 to 30 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, the word finding and comprehension check picture books and 25 record forms in a storage box.
