TACL-4: Test for Auditory Comprehension of Language–Fourth Edition
The Test for Auditory Comprehension of Language, Fourth Edition (TACL-4), by Elizabeth Carrow-Woolfolk, measures how well children aged 3 to 12 understand spoken vocabulary, grammar and sentence structure. It covers three forms of language: word meanings, grammatical morphemes such as prepositions, pronouns and word endings, and longer phrases and sentences, including questions, negatives, the passive voice and embedded or joined clauses. It is given individually in 20 to 30 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, a picture book, 25 record booklets, a volume of critical reviews and research on the TACL from 1965 to 2013, and a scoring supplement shared with the TEXL, in a storage box.
