Symbol Imagery (SI) Test Kit
The Symbol Imagery (SI) Test, by Nanci Bell, is a standardised, norm-referenced test of a student's ability to form mental images of the letters and sounds that make up words. This skill builds both the processing of sounds and the processing of spelling patterns, and underpins decoding, word recognition, spelling and fluent, accurate reading, and scores on the test relate strongly to measures of those skills. It is well suited to monitoring progress, and the kit includes the examiner's manual, a pack of 25 record booklets and letter and word cards.
