Stress Index for Parents of Adolescents™ (SIPA™)
The Stress Index for Parents of Adolescents (SIPA) identifies where stress arises in the relationship between parents and adolescents aged 11 to 19, extending the well-known Parenting Stress Index upward from childhood. It relates parenting stress to the adolescent's characteristics, such as moodiness, withdrawal, antisocial behaviour and failure to achieve, to the parent's own, such as feeling restricted, isolated or guilty and strain with a partner, and to the quality of their interactions and stressful life events. It takes about 20 minutes to give and 10 to score, and the kit includes the manual, 25 reusable item booklets and 25 answer/profile forms.
