Story Starters is a set of 30 A4 picture cards that give children aged 5 and over an opening image for a story, which can grow into prose, poetry, drama or an oral story. They fall into genres, such as mystery, fantasy, travel and real-life adventure, with suggestions for each, and a CD-ROM lets teachers print any card for individual pupils; a booklet is included.
