Spatial Cognition Tool
The Spatial Cognition Tool by Kriti Singh and Dr. Sudha Chikkara measures how children aged 6 to 8 understand and reason about space. It has four main components: mapping, which includes mental rotation and the arrangement of objects; networking, which covers following a sequence, spatial coordination and even traffic rules; topology, dealing with perspective, position and closure; and arranging objects in open and enclosed spaces. The content is designed to suit boys and girls from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, it takes about 55 minutes, and the kit contains a manual and 50 answer sheets.
