The Somatic Inkblot Test-II (SIS-II), by W. A. Cassell, presents 62 inkblot images in a booklet, in Series A and B of 31 each, which people can work through on their own after supervised instruction, so it can also be given to groups, for instance in business selection and promotion. Drawing on the language of dreams, imagery and symbolic thought, it brings material that lies near the edge of awareness into view, revealing information that interviews, histories and other tests may not uncover. It has been used internationally in personality assessment, diagnosis and therapy, where it helps test insight and track progress, and since it has no time limit it keeps test anxiety low. The kit includes the manual, 5 booklets and 25 answer sheets.
