The Short Parallel Assessments of Neuropsychological Status, Extended (SPANS-X), by Dr. Gerald H. Burgess, is a neuropsychological battery for measuring cognition in adults, for instance after a brain injury or in dementia and other neurological conditions. This extended version can also be given reliably at a distance, and its norms cover ages 18 to 90, giving each age its own percentiles and cut-off points. It takes about 35 minutes, and the kit contains the manual, stimulus books and 25 scoring booklets for each of Forms A and B, recognition memory cards, a scoring card, a USB drive of digital materials and a ruler.
