Sentence Completion Series (SCS)
The Sentence Completion Series (SCS), by Larry H. Brown and Michael A. Unger, is a set of eight forms, each of 50 unfinished sentences that the client completes with whatever first occurs to them. Each form focuses on an area of concern, namely adults, adolescents, family, marriage, parenting, work, illness or ageing, and because few sentence starters are shared between forms, several can be used together to gather wide-ranging information with little repetition. Clients who read well complete them alone, others can answer orally, and the clinician interprets the responses; it takes 10 to 45 minutes and suits ages 13 to 79. The kit includes the user's guide and 15 of each booklet.
