Scales for Assessing Emotional Disturbance - Third Edition (SAED-3)
The Scales for Assessing Emotional Disturbance, Third Edition (SAED-3), by Michael H. Epstein and Douglas Cullinan, help school staff such as special educators and school psychologists recognise emotional disturbance in students. Its parts are a normed rating scale of 45 items, a normed screener of 10 items, a form for summarising screening decisions, a questionnaire on the student's development and schooling, and an observation form. Used singly or in combination, they help write IEP goals, supplement functional behaviour assessments, track progress and support research. It takes about 25 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual and 25 copies of each form.
