Rorschach Ink Blot Psychodiagnostic Test Plates
These are the ten Rorschach Psychodiagnostic Plates, the inkblot cards, some in black and white and some in colour, at the heart of the best-known inkblot method in clinical psychology, named after the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach. The way a person perceives the blots is recorded and analysed to understand personality and emotional functioning, and it can also reveal disordered thinking in people who are unwilling to talk about their thoughts openly. Responses can be scored by several systems, chiefly those of Beck, Klopfer and Exner, and the test is used from age 5 to 70.
