RIT™ Reynolds Interference Task

The Reynolds Interference Task (RIT), by Cecil R. Reynolds and Randy W. Kamphaus, measures complex processing speed in the manner of the Stroop test and reflects the general soundness of brain functioning, for ages 6 to 94. By adding the demands of holding back a response and shifting attention to simple tasks, it shows cognitive flexibility and selective attention, and it can measure the effects of brain injury, stroke, dementia or brain tumours and track recovery after concussion. It takes about 5 minutes, and the kit contains the professional manual with fast guide, 25 examiner record forms and the stimulus book.
