Risk-Sophistication-Treatment Inventory
The Risk-Sophistication-Treatment Inventory (RSTI), by Randall T. Salekin, is a semi-structured interview and rating scale that helps clinicians assess young offenders aged 9 to 18. It covers three areas that matter in juvenile justice decisions: risk of dangerousness, the young person's sophistication and maturity, and how open they are likely to be to treatment, with 15 items and three clusters in each. It takes 50 to 65 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, 25 interview booklets and 25 rating forms.
