Risk Inventory and Strengths Evaluation (RISE)
The Risk Inventory and Strengths Evaluation (RISE), by Sam Goldstein and David Herzberg, rates both high-risk behaviour and psychological strengths in young people aged 9 to 25, at home, at school and in the community. The strengths it measures are part of resilience, the capacity to cope with everyday stresses and challenges. Cut-off scores flag high-risk status and point clinicians to the critical items that bear on safety, and the RISE Index weighs strengths against risks to guide an intervention plan. Parent, teacher and self-report forms are included, 25 of each, with the manual, and a rating takes 15 to 20 minutes.
