Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test
The Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test (RAVLT), presented in a handbook by Michael Schmidt, is a classic test of verbal learning and memory for ages 7 to 89. The examiner reads a list of 15 words five times, the person recalls as many as they can after each reading, then a second list is given once, followed by recall of the first list again. It throws light on learning, retention, interference from earlier and later learning, and the difference between storing and retrieving information, and the kit contains the handbook and 25 record sheets with score summaries.
