Receptive One-Word Picture Vocabulary Test-4 (ROWPVT-4)
The ROWPVT-4 measures receptive vocabulary: the examiner says a word in English and the person chooses the matching object, action or concept from a set of full-colour pictures. It covers ages 2 to 80 and beyond, with extra items for young children and older adults and norms that include elderly people, and because it was co-normed with the EOWPVT-4, receptive and expressive vocabulary can be compared directly. It takes about 20 minutes to give and under 5 to score, and the kit contains the manual, test plates and 25 record forms in a portfolio.
