Receptive-Expressive Emergent Language Test – Fourth Edition (REEL-4)
The Receptive-Expressive Emergent Language Test, Fourth Edition (REEL-4), by Kenneth R. Bzoch, helps identify infants and toddlers, from birth to 36 months, who have language impairments or other disabilities that affect language development, and is well suited to early intervention programmes. Information comes from an interview with the caregiver, and receptive and expressive subtests combine into a Language Ability score, with a supplementary vocabulary inventory. It was normed on 1,019 young children, takes about 20 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, and 25 record booklets and 25 vocabulary inventory forms for each of Forms A and B.
