Rapid Automatized Naming And Rapid Alternating Stimulus Test (RAN/RAS)
The Rapid Automatized Naming and Rapid Alternating Stimulus Tests (RAN/RAS) by Maryanne Wolf and Martha Bridge Denckla measure how quickly and accurately a person can see a familiar symbol, a letter or a colour for instance, and name it. Built on decades of research worldwide linking naming speed with reading, they are a useful part of any battery that predicts or diagnoses difficulties with spoken and written language, for ages 5 to 18. All six tests together take only 5 to 10 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, 50 record forms and a set of 5 card packs.
