PTSD and Suicide Screener (PSS)
John Briere's PTSD and Suicide Screener (PSS) is a very brief screen, taking 1 to 5 minutes, for the risk of posttraumatic stress disorder and of suicide in adults aged 18 to 99 who have been through trauma, from abuse, assault and accidents to disasters, serious illness, invasive medical treatment or military service. It has two scales, PTSD Risk and Suicide Risk; the first draws on eight DAPS items which between them cover every PTSD symptom cluster in DSM-IV-TR and DSM-5. The kit contains the professional manual and 25 answer sheets.
