Psychosocial Evaluation & Threat Risk Assessment™ (PETRA™)
The Psychosocial Evaluation & Threat Risk Assessment (PETRA), by Jay Schneller, is used after an adolescent aged 11 to 18 has made a threat of violence, to understand the psychosocial, ecological and coping factors behind it. It supports the identification and assessment of young people who may pose a risk of targeted violence, and the planning of intervention, treatment and behaviour management. Scores cover four domains and eight clusters, such as depressed mood, alienation, aggression, family, school and stress, along with response-style checks and critical items, and a rating takes 10 to 15 minutes. The kit includes the manual, 25 rating forms and 25 score summary/profile forms.
