R. L. Bharadwaj's Parenting Scale (P Scale) records how a person aged 10 or over feels they were brought up by their parents. Its 40 items cover opposed pairs such as acceptance against rejection, protection against carelessness, indulgence against neglect, discipline against freedom, and marital adjustment against marital conflict, and they give scores for mothering, fathering and parenting as a whole. It takes 20 to 25 minutes, individually or in groups, comes in Hindi and English editions, and the kit contains a manual and 100 consumable booklets.
