Multidimensional Anxiety Questionnaire (MAQ)
William M. Reynolds's Multidimensional Anxiety Questionnaire (MAQ) is a brief self-report measure that gives a fairly full picture of anxiety in adults aged 18 to 89. It covers four symptom areas, physiological and panic symptoms, social phobia, worries and fears, and negative affectivity, and a cutoff score helps identify people whose anxiety is at a clinical level. It is useful in private practice, hospitals and colleges, and especially in general medical care, where anxiety often goes unnoticed and untreated. It takes about 10 minutes plus 5 or less to score, and the kit contains the professional manual, 25 hand-scorable booklets and 50 profile forms.
