Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition (MIGDAS-2)
The MIGDAS-2 guides clinicians in collecting and organising the descriptive, qualitative evidence on which an autism diagnosis rests, drawing on parents or caregivers, teachers and a sensory-based interview with the person being evaluated. The result is a detailed behavioural profile of how the individual relates to the world, which adds to test scores, informs diagnosis and treatment planning, and helps the clinician write a narrative report and explain the findings in plain language to families. This kit, for verbal preschoolers, school-aged children and teens, has the manual and 25 forms (5 of each version); parent input takes 60 to 90 minutes and teacher input 30 to 45 minutes.
