Modified Wisconsin Card Sorting Test® (M-WCST™)
David J. Schretlen's Modified Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (M-WCST) trims the original 128-card deck to 48 cards by dropping any card that could match a stimulus card on more than one feature, which, with other changes, makes the task easier to understand and less frustrating for impaired and older adults. It gives four scores, categories achieved, perseverative errors, total errors and the percentage of perseverative errors, plus an Executive Function Composite, with norms by age, sex and education for ages 18 to 90. It takes 7 to 10 minutes individually, and the kit contains the professional manual, 50 record forms and a card deck.
