Marshalla Oral Sensorimotor Test (MOST)
The Marshalla Oral Sensorimotor Test (MOST), by Pam Marshalla, lets speech-language pathologists put a number on the oral examination for the first time, for children aged 4 to 7. It scores facial and oral tone, sensitivity to touch in and around the mouth, oral movement, and basic breathing, voicing and resonance, and identifies problems in how the jaw, lips and tongue move. It is especially useful for children who also have feeding difficulties, neurological or developmental disorders, or sensory processing problems, and it takes 15 to 30 minutes. The kit includes the manual, a test easel, 30 record forms, 30 case history forms, all the oral-motor supplies needed and a tote bag.
