KSPT: Kaufman Speech Praxis Test for Children
Nancy Kaufman's Speech Praxis Test for Children (KSPT) finds the point at which a young child's speech system breaks down, so that treatment can be planned and progress tracked, for ages 2 to 6. The child imitates the clinician's speech, and the results show how treatment should proceed step by step, help set goals, measure gains in motor-speech skill and support the writing of IEPs. It takes 5 to 15 minutes individually, and the kit contains the manual, a clinician's guide and 25 test booklets.
