Jackson Vocational Interest Survey
The Jackson Vocational Interest Survey (JVIS) helps people aged 14 and over identify the careers and university majors that suit their interests. It presents 289 pairs of work-related activities and asks for a choice between two equally appealing options each time, measuring preferences for work roles, such as engineering, and for work settings, such as job security, as well as likely satisfaction with different fields of study. Detailed reports point to resources for learning more about the highest-ranked careers and majors, testing takes about 45 minutes, and the kit includes the technical manual, applications handbook, occupations guide and a reusable test booklet with answer and profile sheets.
