The Intellectual Disability Scale (IDS) by Sarika Sharma and Anash Kr. Das looks at the intellectual, adaptive and social difficulties that together mark intellectual disability in children and young people aged 3 to 18. Its 50 items cover present functioning, intellectual functioning, behaviour skills and adaptive skills, along with features of conditions such as Down, Fragile X, Williams and Klinefelter syndromes. It takes 25 to 30 minutes, individually or in groups, comes in Hindi and English editions, and the kit contains a manual and 100 consumable booklets.
