Horizontal Vertical Illusion Muller Lyer Apparatus.
This apparatus is used to measure the horizontal-vertical illusion, in which a vertical line looks longer than a horizontal line of the same length, and the Müller-Lyer illusion, in which arrow-like fins make equal lines look unequal. The person adjusts a movable part until the lines look equal, and the remaining error shows the strength of the illusion.
