Hopkins Verbal Learning Test- Revised
The Hopkins Verbal Learning Test, Revised (HVLT-R), by Jason Brandt and Ralph H. B. Benedict, is a brief test of verbal learning and memory, through both recall and recognition, for ages 16 to 92. It is easy to give and score, is well tolerated even by people with marked impairment, and has been validated in conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's disease and amnestic disorders. Six forms, each a list of 12 nouns from three meaning categories, allow repeated testing without practice effects; it takes 15 to 25 minutes, and the kit contains the professional manual, a manual supplement and 25 test booklets of each of Forms 1 to 6.
