HCR-20 Version 3 Introductory Kit
The HCR-20 Version 3 is a structured guide for assessing the risk of violence in adults aged 18 and over. It sets out how to judge whether each of 20 key risk factors is present and how relevant it is to the particular person, and how to build a formulation of risk, likely future scenarios, a risk management plan and a clear report of the risk. It builds on Versions 1 and 2, the second of which has been examined in more than 200 studies and used in 35 countries, and research suggests that the HCR-20 is the most widely used violence risk instrument in the world. It is untimed, scoring takes about 5 minutes, and the kit includes the user's guide and 50 worksheets.
