Gilliam Asperger's Disorder Scale (GADS)
The Gilliam Asperger's Disorder Scale (GADS) is a norm-referenced rating scale for children and young people aged 3 to 22 whose behaviour suggests they may have Asperger's Disorder. A parent and a professional who know the child complete it, documenting the behavioural characteristics that a diagnosis relies on, and its scores have been shown to distinguish Asperger's Disorder from autism and other behavioural disorders. Besides supporting identification, it helps track behavioural progress, set IEP goals and serve research, and it takes 5 to 10 minutes. The kit includes the examiner's manual and 25 summary/response forms.
