The Functions of Music Scale (FoMS), by Dr. Durgesh K. Upadhyay and Dr. Suman Pandey, is a self-report measure of the roles music plays in the lives of young adults aged 18 to 25. It captures how music shapes emotional, cognitive and physical experience, and its results can be related to personality, musical preferences, listening styles and rasa, the aesthetic moods of Indian tradition.
