Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment, 2nd Ed.
The Frenchay Dysarthria Assessment, Second Edition (FDA-2), by Pamela Enderby and Rebecca Palmer, is a well-established test for measuring, describing and diagnosing dysarthria, for people aged 12 and over. Results are recorded on a rating form that shows the client's strengths and weaknesses across all the items, and the norms include both adults without dysarthria and patients with dysarthria linked to confirmed medical diagnoses. It suits clinical work and research, takes about 20 minutes individually, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, 25 rating forms and intelligibility cards in a folder.
