The Fluharty Preschool Speech and Language Screening Test, Second Edition (Fluharty-2), by Nancy Buono Fluharty, quickly identifies children aged 3 to 6 who should have a full speech and language evaluation. Its five subtests ask the child to say words, repeat sentences, follow directions, answer questions, and describe actions and put events in order, giving scores for articulation and for receptive, expressive and overall language. It was normed on 705 children from 21 US states, takes about 10 minutes, and the kit contains the examiner's manual, a picture book, 25 record forms and 12 coloured blocks in a storage box.
