Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM) Comprehensive Kit
The Feifer Assessment of Mathematics (FAM) looks beneath maths performance at the neurodevelopmental processes that support it, for ages 4 to 21. Beyond indicating whether a mathematics learning disability is present, it identifies the particular subtype of dyscalculia, which helps in choosing the right intervention. Its 19 subtests cover areas such as the retrieval of number facts, memory for numbers and for space, estimation, the language of maths and core number sense, and a separate Screening Form suits progress monitoring and the early identification of at-risk students. Testing takes 35 to 60 minutes depending on grade, or 15 minutes for the screener.
