The Employee Assistance Program Inventory (EAPI), by William D. Anton and James R. Reed, is a clinical screening tool built for employee assistance programmes and for any professional counselling working adults aged 18 to 76. Used at intake, it quickly identifies common psychological problems across 10 areas, from anxiety, depression and self-esteem to work adjustment, marital and family problems, interpersonal conflict, outside stressors and the effects of substance abuse, and it also checks for a tendency to play problems down. The results guide referral or short-term intervention, it takes about 20 minutes, and the kit includes the manual, 25 reusable item booklets and 25 answer sheet/profiles.
